What you're afraid will happen

Fear shrinks when you finish the sentence.

Fear lives in half a sentence. "What if it doesn't work out" — and it gets stuck there. If you take it further — what exactly happens, who says what, what the day after looks like — you usually find you can carry it. Not that it will be pleasant. That you can carry it. That is the whole difference between fear and a decision.

A question from Seth

If exactly what you're afraid of happened — what would the next day look like?
