Being with it
Reality is made of what you were actually with — not what you wished.
The day mostly runs itself. Habit, tiredness, someone else's voice in your head — one of them leads and you follow. The result looks like bad luck. It isn't. It's exactly what got through while you weren't with it. Being with it is not having a plan. It means noticing the thought before it becomes a sentence, and the feeling before it becomes a move. It usually takes a second — and in that second the whole thing turns.
